Raptors rally to 111-107 win over Wizards

Pascal Siakam scored a season-high 39 points as the Toronto Raptors overcame a 21-point deficit in a 111-107 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday.

TORONTO - Pascal Siakam scored a season-high 39 points, but it was Chris Boucher who was named the Toronto Raptors' hardest-working player after the team rallied to a 111-107 win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.
The Raptors trailed by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, but they outscored the Wizards 36-23 in the fourth to come away with the victory. Siakam was unstoppable in the final frame, scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Boucher also had a big game for the Raptors, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds. He was particularly effective in the third quarter when he scored 10 points and helped the Raptors get back in the game.

Fred VanVleet added 16 points and 10 assists for the Raptors, while Scottie Barnes had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards with 28 points, while Kristaps Porzingis added 23 points and 10 rebounds.
The Raptors trailed 84-68 at the end of the third quarter, but they started the fourth on a 12-2 run to cut the deficit to four points. Siakam then took over, scoring 15 points in the final six minutes to help the Raptors seal the victory.

"We just stayed together," Siakam said. "We didn't panic. We knew we were down, but we knew we had a chance to come back. We just kept fighting and we got it done."
Raptors coach Nick Nurse was pleased with the way his team battled back in the fourth quarter.
"We showed a lot of resilience tonight," Nurse said. "We were down big, but we never gave up. We kept fighting and we found a way to win."

The Raptors improved to 9-5 with the victory, while the Wizards fell to 5-10.
